Meet Richard Rose, the founder and owner of the Copyright Cafe.  He is an experienced legal and business professional with over 20 years in the entertainment industry.  Early in his career Richard worked on the creative side of the music industry as a live and studio recording engineer.  He worked on a variety of projects for Grammy, CMA, Dove and Stellar award winning recording artists and producers and on award winning national advertising campaigns.

Merging his love of the arts and savvy for technology, he attended Franklin Pierce Law Center to focus on intellectual property law.  This led to seasons of interning with the Recording Industry Association of America, consulting with the Library of Congress, in-house counsel and VP for a “dot-com” music/technology company, presentations before Congressional sub-committees, co-counsel for successful copyright infringement suits and founding the Copyright Cafe in 2002.

Richard has been an adjunct professor at Belmont University, Middle Tennessee State University and the University of New Hampshire School of Law, as well as a guest speaker, panelist and presenter at many conferences. He has helped with the legal and business foundations of a host of clients involved in music, film, television, sports, book publishing, computer gaming, fine arts, education, medicine, government, non-profits, culinary arts and the Internet. Still want to know more?

Richard lives in Nashville with his wife and 3 children.
